Gravel/Rocks/Pebbles for my Pet Fish Aquarium? Need Answers Quick!?
I went to Meijers and i bought some pebbles/rocks/gravel for my fish aquarium. I bought some white and some natural colors. after i cleaned it many times, i put it in the tank. after a couple of hours, i saw my aquarium water turn white! one of my precious fish have died. we found out that the water turned white because the white colored pebbles' paint came off! when i looked at fish tanks in Meijers, they had many artificially colored pebbles/gravel in their tanks but the paint was not coming off. I dont get it. Are you supposed to do something besides wash them before you put them in the tank? cuz my water keeps turning white and i want to know if there is something i can do to keep the paint on my rocks with out mixing in with my water. I need answers quick before all my fish die! please help. Im desperate. I hav had these fish for 1 yr know and i hav grown attached to them so i cant bare to see them die. please!
